Britney Spears V. Somali Pirates – The Navy is now using Britney Spears' hits like "Hit Me Baby One More Time" and "Oops I Did it Again" to drive off approaching Somali Pirates. Apparently when they hear the tunes, they turn around and leave. Music has become a really effective way of keeping the pirates and their high-speed skiffs away. Britney's songs have been chosen by the security team because they thought the pirates would hate them most. They can't stand Western culture or music, which makes Britney's hits perfect. The music is currently a second line of defense and is used when initial calls from armed security guards on board don't get rid of the pirates. Umm, if this actually works, maybe these pirates aren’t as tough as we thought.
