Nerd Insurance- From protecting your car and home to your pet’s health, you can buy insurance for anything. Now, a new kind of insurance is becoming popular with people who participate in fantasy football. The 25 million Americans who play fantasy football can now insure individual players for up to 1,000 dollars. Basically, if your player gets hurt and misses at least 9 games, you get paid. But take a second before you spend the 10 % premium to insure a player and ask yourself, ‘is this the saddest thing I’ve ever done and is it possible that fantasy sports are becoming way too important to me?’ By the way, the answer is YES.

Hump Day In Schools?! - The Geico Hump Day commercial is so popular, some school teachers say "the phrase" is becoming disruptive in their classrooms. According to one student at a middle school in Vernon, Connecticut:  "Everybody's walking around in the hallways and saying its hump day in that weird voice." The Superintendent of schools said some sixth-grade boys started using the phrase so much, teachers said it was disruptive. HUUUMMMMPPPP DAAAAYYYY! Okay we admit, it’s pretty fun to say.

Government SHUT DOWN (DAY 3) – If you’re a furloughed federal employee, think of it as a vacation from work, and affording groceries, and paying bills and rent. Yay!

Hollywood Hot Mess – A Los Angeles jury decided Wednesday that AEG Live hired Dr. Conrad Murray, but also concluded that the concert promoter was not liable for Michael Jackson's drug overdose death. The jury decided that Murray was competent, so even though AEG Live hired him, it was not liable for Jackson's death and didn't owe the Jackson family millions of dollars in compensation. Finally! It’s been over 4 years since The King of Pop’s death. Let the man rest in peace.
